For the hemorhoids, I did sitz baths and witch hazel, but I also had a fissure (not associate with labor but from pain meds following c-section). I fought them for 9 months before I finally saw a specialist and had them banded. the witch hazel helped with the pain, but they just wouldn't go away!

Congrats, mama! Sounds like a wonderful birth (even if you didn't know it at the time!).

There are some homeopathic hemorrhoid treatments, too. I think I got ones by Heel for the expect problems postpartum. I've used the tablets at one point already and they really, really helped! There's also a cream. Hope you are fully recovered soon, and enjoy your new little one!

I actually grew up in Ontario and lived there for 24 years! I did know about this man and I think I toured his house in Toronto at some point. My DH actually picked out the name and I thought it was so cool to have a name that reminds me of home.

Thanks for all the suggestions on the hemmroids. I think I have tried everything this past day and there is just no relief yet. I am on the verge on throwing up from the pain but I guess it will pass soon according to my midwife. She said the first 48 hours is the worst part.
