Breastfeeding books for children?

Hi Moms,
On the LLLI website I found a great list of books for children that showed pictures of nursing moms. The list is very long so I'm hoping someone could recommend some good ones?

I have a 2.5 year old and a 4 mo old.

Thanks!

My 2 year olds most recent favorite book is "We like to nurse".

My two girls really liked "Maggie's Weaning" and "If My Momma Was a Platypus". I'm not sure if the second one is avaible through LLL anymore, but it was three years ago when I had Emma.
Emma really liked the Maggie's Weaning book because it showed a girl about her age in it.
Also, I don't know if LLL sells it, but both of my girls really liked the rhyming board book "Breastmilk Makes My Tummy Yummy". I got this book on amazon.com.

I've never read the book "We Like to Nurse", so you all will have to tell me what its like.

What the Cat Saw. It isn't about nursing, but is shows nursing as part of the daily routine. The art is gorgeous and the book is very sweet.

We have 'Mama's Milk' by Michael Ehlson Ross. It rhymes and has pictures of nursing animals (and humans!). It's sweet.

Breastmilk Makes My Tummy Yummy is an all time fav. Somewhere I have copies of it in like five languages.

I also recommend Welcome with Love which has nursing as well as a midwife assisted home birth.

Also love We Like to Nurse.

These all sound lovely. I'll have to see if my local library carries any of them! Thanks.

I wanted to second this book. I love it. But the correct title is Only the Cat Saw when I tried to search it on Amazon it didn't come up. But I remembered it was "Only" not "What" and I found it easily. I think I'm going to get this for my little girl because we have cats and love stories about them. And the nursing scene is wonderful.

I have a book called "welcoming babies" It shows how different ethnic groups welcome babies. It shows a tribe in africa singing to the baby. Shows another baby in the NICU being held. On another page the parents are in the park with baby and siblings and mom is on a blanket nursing. Another pic shows siblings writing annoucment card about eh babies adoption.
All in all good book

My daughter LOVED "We like to nurse" So cute, it shows all sorts of animals nursing their babies and ends with a mother and baby nursing. "Maggie's Weaning " was also a big hit as my dd1 was weaning at about 3yrs old.

Here is a book about a nursing toddler that you can view online: Saturday with Mez. DS just loves this book and brings it to me to read all the time. Their site also says it is okay to print off the book and share it with others for free. We went ahead and bought a copy from the couple that made it because I thought it was so great and I wanted to support them and it is printed on really thick cardstock type paper and has held up well with our toddler.

Hi

It's Lauren here, one of the co-authors of Saturday With Mez: A Day in the Life of a Breastfeeding Toddler

Another great book is Near Mama's Heart

"We like to nurse" is a great one. Also you know those little cheapo photo albums that you can find for around $1? We made a nursing book by taking pictures of animals nursing when we go to the petting farm or the zoo and then put a picture of me nursing DS in the last slot so we can use that as a reference book and learn about animals we've seen.

As an aside, its sad to me where our culture has gone- MIL saw the photo of a colt nursing and said "Ew, what are those horses doing?" like it was sexual or something. Ugh.
