This is what they're teaching at college...

The instructor at college told the class that outbreaks of vaccine preventable illnesses happen, but they are caused by unvaccinated populations such as the Amish, and are limited to such populations.

She then went on to strongly tell us all to go ahead and get the flu vaccine. She claimed if you do get the flu after being vaccinated, that it would be much less severe.

She asked the class if anybody didn't vaccinate. I chose not to raise my hand, because technically, I did allow my baby's father to get the baby immunized. But I am still opposed to mandatory routine immunizations. When nobody raised their hand, she sounded relieved "Oh, good!" and went on a spiel about the ignorant non-vaxers. WTF?

I'm wondering if I should send her some links?

Measles Outbreak in 100% vaccinated population (ignore the last paragraph )
Highly vaccinated population

It probably wouldn't do any good, though.
