I'm finally reading all of Anna Karenina. It's taken me a few tries, but I'm doing it.
It took me to Part II to get into the story. So, that's 117 pages, according to this particular translation. I don't usually give a book that long to hook me (I mean, that's almost an entire book in some cases!), but I was determined to finish Anna this time.
I'm still not even 1/2 way finished. An 800-page book that's not about witches, vampires, or killer clowns isn't usually my thing. And, I was sooo tempted to put it down *again* until Levin was introduced.
I love him. I've never felt this way about a male character in a book before! (Well...maybe Ranger from the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, but only b/c I want a man who says "Babe" to me all the time.) He's not revolutionary enough for me, but he's so yummy in other ways, I'd deal with that!
The more I read, the more I'm falling in love with this book. It's a classic that I actually like! Must be b/c it's about Russians. LOL
