I've been meaning to give them a listen. They have lots of albums in my library system, but I'm not sure which one would be best to check out first. Any suggestions?

Hi there! We're huge Franti fans here and love just about everything. The most recent one is Yell Fire and the songs are all based on a trip he took to meet the people living under occupation in Iraq and the West Bank. It's just awesome.

Stay Human rocks. The album is based around the death penalty.

And Songs From the Front Porch gets a lot of play in our house, especially in the summer when we're hanging around outside. Ganja Babe is, for me, quite possibly the best summer song ever.

Maybe not a lot of help . I love everything they've done and there's so much to choose from! The live albums are amazing as well. Whatever you pick you won't go wrong.

I agree with Nicole Lisa, all the albums are good! We love Michael Franti at our house too. Yell Fire has been a favorite ever since it came out and Stay Human is soooooo good too. I haven't heard Songs From the Front Porch, I'll have to check it out.

If you have a chance, his documentary about Iraq and Israel is amazing, I think it's called "I Know I'm Not Alone"
