So seriously, what's with so many of the Sept. babies coming in August?

I was just reading through the announcements and SO many of the September babies came on the early side. Mine included. What's up with that?

I am not sure but I figure with so many mamas in our ddc some will be born in August, most in Sept and some in Oct. I see that some of the August ddc are still giving birth into Sept. It could just be one of those random things like how many sets of twins were in the August ddc.

I did the math one day, and between me and you, our little one's were the next early ones compared to the real early birds we had..

i thought i'd have an august baby, considering that my son was 3 weeks early but she ended up being a sept baby (the 3rd)

I thought I would be early and land in August based on history but I made it past 38 weeks and landed in September. I agree that with the distribution some will be early, some will be late, with most in September.

I hope most of the mommas that end up going into Oct are prepared for that and not getting *too* anxious, upset, or uncomfortable. I would have been a basket case myself so I am mostly sending feel good vibes out to you others!

well, did we have alot of moms who were due at the start of the month anyway? that owuld be my thinking, we had alot of moms due at the start of the month, plus a few early ones

We seem to have a large crew due at months end too, myself included

Three years ago, we had the same thing in the Sept DDC! But, it's probably not unusual at all. I'm due end of Sept/early Oct this time and can't believe that the early Oct babies could be coming in the next two weeks! I don't figure mine will, but it's just part of that normal edd "range" for babies to come 2 weeks either way. Makes it exciting, eh?

I think its to even out for those August moms, (like I was officially) who are still pregnant in September.

I am due mid September but fully expect to make it to the first week of October.

DD came 3 weeks after her due date. So if the pattern continues then I could still be pregnant the first week in October.

At least this time I'm FULLY prepared and won't be freaking out that something must be terribly wrong.
