Ladies, how much weight have you gained? - Page 5

13 weeks and down 15#. like others, more to spare, so not too concerned... just waiting to actually want to eat again. At least there isn't as much actual vomitting, but it's the wanting to eat that I miss...

I'm curious....

Of those of you who are LOSING weight, were you overweight before you were pregnant?

I'm just getting nervous because I'm gaining while everyone else was losing on this thread... well, almost everyone.

But, if I had lost 15 pounds of pre-pregnancy weight I would be really sickly and probably couldn't have gotten pregnant in the first place.

For me, yes, very overweight.

No, I'm not overweight. I've lost 10ish pounds and I do look sickly. I barely look healthy at my normal weight. I hate being -10. It does NOTHING for me.

According to BMI charts and all that, my pre-pregnancy weight is about 70lbs over the recommended amount, and about 40lbs more than my personally most comfortable weight. So I had plenty of room to lose, and that coupled with my sickness/queasiness is why I have lost weight. And like I said, I am still getting a belly, but am losing weight. If you're starting to look sickly then clearly that's a concern. But my doc told me I'm only supposed to gain 15-20lb for the duration of the pregnancy so you really can't compare your gain to that of others.

I had an OB with my last pregnancy and I left crying after almost ever visit because of what they would say about my weight gain. I swear that I will quit any and all pregnancy care if it happens again. I don't think it will because my mw asked why I wouldn't go back to the OB and told her all they did was threaten to cut me open and make me feel bad about my weight.

Talk to your mw and tell her how you feel. If she continues to give you hell, tell her where to stick it.

That is awful!! I am so sorry you had to go through that. People, and doctors especially can be so mean sometimes. I hope it doesn't happen again for you, or happen to anyone else for that matter!

yes, I weigh more than I should. I lost 20# during the 1st tri with DS. No reason for concern at this time, and I am still growing my belly... definitely in maternity clothes already, which is weird, because my regular clothes from pre-preg don't fit, they are all loose, but I can definitely see the bump. Luckily, I am now at my pre-preg weight from DS, so my old maternity clothes fit. weird.

I am 14w and have already gained 8 pounds! Last pregnancy, I gained most of my weight during the first trimester too. I am hoping it levels out. I eat really well, but have slowed down on the excercise front.

13.5 weeks and I have gained 8 pounds. I have gained between 60-70 pounds each pregnancy and have lost it from breastfeeding each time. I am just a gainer. I had to gain five pounds to get pregnant this time, nursing really takes it off of me.

That's me. I can't keep weight on while I'm nursing. Now I'm nursing and pregnant with severe m/s. It's fun, not.

Actually, I'm feeling much better this week. I'm not going to jinx myself and say that 13w is a magic # or anything, but I haven't been sick in 4 days now and yesterday I actually felt human. It's a record!

Okay, I'm worried I've gained more than anyone.

I'm only 14wks and I've already gained 13Lbs! That's almost a pound a week!

This is my 4th preg and I usually gain around 30Lbs total and that mostly coming during the last trimester so I am a little worried. I've had a lot of m/s but that obviously did not affect my eating. I have stopped working out though. I really need to pick that up now that my all day m/s is gone.

My midwife was not concerned. She said it is better to gain than lose so I guess I will not stress.

Oh, and I considered myself average weight pre-preg. I'm 5'4" and weighed 128lbs. Now I'm 141lbs. Yikes!:

I haven't weighed myself in a long time, not since becoming pregnant anyway. I don't even own a scale and have no plans to buy one. I know that my postpartum weight was lower than my pre-conception weight, so nursing took all my pregnancy weight off and then a bit. But I've never really been overweight, I;ve been average weight, average height all my life. I didn't gain that much last time around, and only started gaining sometime in the second trimester. I actually lost 1 kilogram sometime late in the third trimester that had my OB baffled. I was like, meh one kilo here one kilo there, probably something to do with the scale in his office more than my actual weight. I felt great, belly looked normal, baby was o.k. so whatever.

I'm only 11 weeks, but I'm not showing and I don't feel or look as if I've gained a pound (or a kilo--I'm in Europe).

I went to the OB today and I am up 11 lbs. I am 14 weeks with twins. They acted like I had overgained, but did not discourage me from eating. This is making me feel awful! I just hate when people act like I'm fat or a pig or something.
One thing I can't stand is that for twins there is all sorts of different information out there about how much weight is a good amount of weight to gain.

humph.

I just got home from the gym and I'm ready to bawl. : I've gained three pounds in two days!! I'm going to have to add walking to my exercise routine and start watching everything I eat.
Well, I've lost 3 more in the last two days. Don't understand how. I'm getting 2000 calories by IV every night and I'm still heaving and losing weight.
Man, I cannot wait to start eating and catch up with you all!

According to BMI charts, I was 10 lbs overweight when I got pregnant. By my standards, I was 30-40 lbs over my "ideal" weight. So I feel I had weight to lose. I lost 5 lbs, and have regained 2 or 3 (or 0, depending on how twitchy the scale is feeling, apparently ). I'd love to only gain 10 or 15 lbs during this pregnancy, but I'd feel comfortable with a 25 lb weight gain.

I was starting to freak out a little bit. I am 12 weeks and have gained 10 pounds. I also have a huge round belly already. I know with my last pg I was barely showing at this point, in fact we were only starting to tell people and I didn't look pg at all. This time I look very obviously pg already.

DS keeps saying he is having a brother and a sister. Maybe he knows something I don't! I am not planning to have an ultrasound until 20 weeks so we have a long wait to find out for sure!

It sure looks like there is more than one in there!

I am 13 weeks along now, and I don't know how much I have gained. I don't feel that I need to know, I don't have a scale at home. The most importantr thing is that i feel that I am eating healthy and balanced diet (well, most of the time anyway )

Both of my kids keep saying that They are "fake" twins (one adopted and one biological, four months apart). So I think they want another set in the family. But we have already seen one healthy heartbeat, so I think we are in the clear.
