This is my first baby so I have no idea what labor would feel like at all. Everyone says you will just know. Well, today I have been feeling quite funny and I have had several contractions in the last hour and pretty heavy back pain. I have also been having these vaginal twinges. This is different than the usual braxton-hicks contrax I have been having. No pain just very intense. The problem is that I start my 36th week tomorrow but I am only right at a full 35 weeks. If I am in labor, I can't deliver at home :*( Maybe the baby is just dropping and moving much more in the pelvic region. I don't know....any help would be nice. I am scared to drink any more RRL tea because I don't want to further encourage contrax. I have been just resting and drinking tons of water. Oh any one out there to give advice, I'd appreciate it!!

: Well, I'm sure some women "just know", but for me it was more, "I suspect this might be it.... Well, now I'm pretty sure.... OK, I'm sure. This is it!" All. Three. Times. Each one was different.
With my first, I was afraid if I laid down and relaxed, the labor would stall. By the time he was born, I was too exhausted to really even care. It's way better to be well rested, even if it means the baby waits a little longer to make an appearance. And, if the contractions stop altogether, it wasn't really time to start with.
