So I am at my local goodwill store and i find two small suitcase in okay condition. Think samsonite/american tourister hardsided luggage. No frills, just a basic suitcase.
We are going on vacation next month and I think it would be cute for my kids age 3 and 2 to have their own suitcases, only what I have seen is soft-sided with wheels, not too sturdy.
So I was wondering if I could decopage(sp?) these two small suitcases with the fabric if their choice, and maybe finish the edges with ribbon or something and hot glue.
As far as cost, one suitcase was $2.00 and the other $3.00. I already have a jar of decopage stuff. Althoug I would need more and of course the fabric. But i don't think I will need more than a yard of fabic for each suitcase, and then the ribbon/edging.
Both of my kids have loved grandma's suitcase when she has visited so I think having their own to fill with clothes and stuff they want to take will be fun for them.
Any sugglestions or other ideas would be appreciated, as I am not very crafty, but woul be realatively easy!
Thanks REgina
