I keep reading about all the things you mamas can do while wearing your babes....and I just don't get it!
I started with a pouch. It worked great or 3 months or so. Still really only wore it to transport babe around, shoping or walking the dogs. I foudn that if my weight went up or down even a few lbs the fit was all wrong. Moved to a mei tai (hand-sewn...perhaps THAT is the problem??!) in hopes that I really could be more mobile and 'get stuff done' while keeping my sweet one who is the intense 'mama love stage' happy.
It kills my back and makes my shoulders burn (muscle strain). It digs into my sides at the waist and quite frankly makes my fluffy self appear all too fluffy!
When I'm out for my morning walk and walk up the hill for some cardio I have a difficult time catching my breath because the straps seem so tight around my waist.
Could it be that I'm wearing it wrong? Dd does not seem to be able to get into the knees higher than bum postion. I tried a back carry, wearing her as if I had a back pack on...again...the straps were so painful and my shoulders were aching after moments. I'll not cross the straps in front of my chest as I need NOTHING to accentuate the size of my boobs(!!) ...I'm rather busty and with dd on my front I can't see much to get anything done! I can hardly sign the credit card slip when I'm paying for groceries.
What am I doing wrong. I really want/need this to work!!!
Any thoughts or tips..other than I need yet ANOTHER style of carrier. That isn't gonna happen.
ETA: Okay...here are a couple of photos that may help you to help me! Another problem that I seem to be having is that dd is often lopsided...listing to one side or the other rather than centered. I can't seem to get her in straight. Is this just her own doing by shifting around or is there a *tip* ?
