is HBAC a good option for me?

I have been going back and forth with the home birth idea since I hated all my OB's this pregnancy! I am getting too far along I need to decide soon! I need to still meet with local midwives. I had an appt and canceled it.

My concerns are: losing baby, bleeding too much. If need to be trasported 15+ minutes to hospital.

I am 24 wks tomorrow, I had a c/s(low transverse) with ds he was breech 13 months ago. I have between 8 fibriods(4 large ones, 4 small) and an anterior placenta. The u/s tech said I am fine for a vag birth. My Ob said I can try for a VBAC but can have a c/s at anytime. THat worries me!! I can't have another c/s I still can't feel that area and it creeps me out too much!! Do I just have a hospital birth and wait until I have to push to go to the hospital or can I try and have a home birth? I just need advice please!! Am I even a canidate for a safe HBAC?? I can't spend $700. for a doula + hospital expenses. I don't even know how to pay $3000+ for a midwife. Insurance will pay form some midwives I think.
TIA

Not a midwife, but it sounds like you are a great candidate for a homebirth, I think you just need to let go of your fears and realize that homebirth is a very safe option for a vbac. And as far as I know most MW's do VBAC's. Good luck!

In my opinion, if your planning on staying home until you feel like pushing... wouldnt it be better to just stay at home rather than risk a car birth? You have time to meet with every midwife you can find. They can give you all the information you need to help you to decide where and with who to birth your babe. Best of luck and happy birthing!
