Dd's school is using them for a fundraiser. From what I can tell they were a subsidiary of Nestle until 2003 when they were sold. It appears though that they still sell Nestle products and maintain some sort of relationship with the company.

Anyone know any more about this? I hate selling this stuff anyway, but if it is Nestle company, forget it. I'll just ask friends and family to donate directly to the school.

I googled and got the same info you did. Basically they still have a close relationship with Nestle however they want to spin it. I'd pass, personally.
