I had a lady at the library ask me if she had overheard me tell someone my dd was today. I said no it's not today. And basically she said she was dumbfounded at the idea that someone would be out and about on their dd. Or something like that. I was thinking, Well what else would I be doing? I'm not going to sit at home and be miserable. I'm at least going to take my son somewhere and be miserable! Anyways, I thought her mentality was pretty funny.

I'm still here! My due date is today. I have been having a lot of crampiness and prelabor BH for a few weeks. Nothing that lasts or turns into a pattern though. Last week at my prenatal I was 4cm and 50% effaced. I have an appointment tomarrow afternoon. I thought all along that I would go past my due date, so I'm not surprised, althougth I was hoping, having intuiton? that my baby will be here by this weekend. My family started betting on when the baby would be born, gender, size and length (just for fun), and NO ONE has said past Saturday. DH thinks the baby will be born Friday. I feel that perhaps my body is on the verge of going into labor, but I also know that it could be another week or two. I'm doing pretty well, am not miserable, still able to sleep pretty well at night and take naps during the day. Trying to balance rest with activity, and just be patient, because there is nothing else I can do.

Feeling (too) great

I'm due on the 19 and just feel far too good to be going into labor anytime soon. I slept all night last night without having to get up once. The baby is not up in my ribs nor is he sitting on my bladder. I just feel big. My son was 5 days after my EDD and daughter was 1 day before.

I am having very, very infrequent (like once a day) strong contractions, but that's all. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow but I'm not going to have her check me or anything because I feel so far away from labor and since I'm not uncomfortable am happy to give the baby some time.

I'm not going to do it tomorrow...I've decided it's a form of induction...and I'm not willing to pursue induction methods unless there's something medically wrong and/or i'm 40+ weeks...at least that's how I feel about it today...:

I'm due in 3 days.. but I don't mind going past my due date since the birthing center we planned to deliver at closed on 9/10 and the new one opens on the 18th. Being due the 14th puts me at a hospital. I would much rather deliver at a birthing center. I keep reminding the lil' guy in there to hold on for a few days longer to meet the world in comfort. Since this is my first and I was only 1 cm at my appointment last week I think he might be working with me. I see my Dr. on Thursday for my 40 week check up.

p.s. We "did it" to try to induce labor last week Friday hoping he would come on 09/08/07 and we would at least be at the old birthing center-- no such luck. I don't want to "do it" again until after the 18th now. Why is it that a few days seem SOOOOOOOOOOOO much longer than ever before!!

Due date 3 days... new birthing center opens in 7 days. GAH!!!!

Still no baby for me....

I was due on the 2nd....

Now when people ask "when are you due?" mostly because I look like a whale right about now, and probably really tired and cranky and overdue, LOL

I just reply "I'm due in a week"

It is much more fun that way than have people express concern over your due date going past even though they are complete strangers!!

I have really wanted to be in a long line at the grocery store and drop a water balloon on the floor and then announce really loudly that I think my water just broke, and go waddling out of the store!!! hehe

I went overdue with the last 2 babies, so this is no surprise, just sick of being tired all the time and prodromal contractions all the time, and show, and stillllll nooooooo baby!!!

It's getting to be a bit ridiculous!!!

I'm still here. Nothing new to report, except that today is my due date. I had my app't with my midwife today and all is well....except that I'm not in labor. I'm ready!

Still here too. Tomorrow is my homevisit with my midwife. Poor DS is SOOOO sick, so of course I've been up all night with a stuffy baby who can't sleep. The house is trashed, dishes to the ceiling in the kitchen... *sigh* knowing my luck I'll go into labor today since I haven't slept in three days and the house looks like this.

Fingers crossed that I don't, however. AND that I manage to get the house in a presentable state and keep it there.

Ok, today is the day I've been saying my whole pregnancy that I'd go into labor (40 wks 2 dys)! Send me positive labor vibes!!! I can't wait to meet this baby!!!!!

OMG! Me TOO! My acupuncturist told me to visualize my birth and this was the day (I'm 40w2d too!). I was supposed to wake up between 4-6am with contractions this morning! Ha. I tried not to get too disappointed when I woke up as usual... Maybe over the weekend? That wouldn't be too far off from our predictions!

Ditto! That'll only be 5 days past my EDD, but he's just so big i hope he falls out on his head before then.

As of three weeks ago, i was 3cm and 80% and they were FOR SURE i was going to deliver.

I think that is my greatest fear right now, seriously. I keep saying to DH, "Do you think I'll still be pregnant in October?" And good husband that he is, his reply is always "of course not." But I can't say I trust him on this one!

I have my grandmother coming out to help me a few days after my EDD and what if the babe's not out by then!?

My grandma: "I'm not coming out for a week to see my pregnant granddaughter." I better be seeing my GREAT-granddaughter.

I just feel so rushed to get her out, but I'm not even due till the 17th. This babe is teasing me!

I'm still here. the OB threw a dart in the dark and ended up with EDD is the 28th. We're shooting for the 26th. The absolute earliest I could be due would have been on the 12th. Add 2 weeks to that (because my family goes 2+weeks late) and you get the 26th. Which is DH's grandmothers birthday. She REALLY wants us to have dc on her birthday, which I think is really really sweet, since technically she is DH's step grandma. DH even put it on the calendar, lol! Anyway, I'm just waddling along........

I'm still here I was "due" on the 12th. For the three weeks before that I had tons of prodromal labor, and then it all stopped around the 10th. Since then, I have had way more energy, and actually feel less pregnant I have just had random contractions....although they have picked up again in the last several hours. They still feel exactly like all the ones I had for the earlier weeks though so we shall see....I just started timing about 6 minutes apart. Usually, after an hour or so of me timing them, just when I start to think maybe this is it, they stop or slow down to a crawl.
