Chem preg.

Started bleeding a few hours ago, and now it's heavy. Oh well. I'm upset and disappointed but not devastated...I'm only like 16 or 17 dpo, if I hadn't been charting/testing I never would have known I was pregnant.

Bummer though.

Thanks all. back at ya.

It's weird...it doesn't feel like the loss of a baby, or even a fetus. But I do feel, acutely, the loss of the daydreams and expectations I had about this pregnancy. I was so thrilled with the idea that my two babes would be almost exactly two years apart, and that I, DS, andthe new baby would all have birthdays in May. I was thinking it was a girl and was picturing giving birth to her, and holding her. It's weird that that isn't going to happen. : I hadn't even gotten used to the idea of being pregnant yet. I guess this will take some getting used to as well.

Meanwhile I'm having I think the worst cramps I've ever had. Owie! I sent DH out for red wine and chocolate cake mix. I guess that's about all anyone can do.

I lost a pg at 9 weeks (before having dd), and this is exactly how I felt. As soon as I found out I was pg, it was like the course of my life completely changed ... lots of dreams and expectations and ideas of what was to come. And then in an instant, it's all gone. And there's no going back to what you thought your life would be before you found out you were pg. For a while, I almost felt like there was no future for me. The old one was gone, and so was the new one. It took me a while to muddle through that. Even when you lose a pregnancy very early, I think the process is the same.
