Anyone considering doing ec? And does anyone know a good link I could go to? Would love to do away with diapers all together.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

I'm planning to try harder with EC this time around. I tried off and on with dd, but never consistently.

Would definitely like to try this. There's a whole EC forum under the diapering forum here at MDC. Should be lots of good info there.

We will EC part-time with this baby...we've done it PT with DD for about a year now. Just occasional, whenever we both get around to it stuff. But she's 18 months and hasn't pooped in a diaper since about 11-12 months and although she still pees in dipes a lot, she's getting better at telling us! Even just being spared poopy dipes to wash is worth it! LOL

We started ECing at 7 months (when he could sit on the potty) and I will probably start sooner with this one. I have heard people like the book Diaper Free or something like that. I read early start potty training http://www.amazon.com/Early-Start-Po.../dp/007145800X
which was a fast easy read, but more applies to those starting at a few months old.

I am considering it. I had heard a bit about it with my first born and when he would make a funny expression and then go pee I would think "Geesh I should really be doing EC" (since I could recognize his signs before peeing).
My cousin EC'ed her first born from the beginning and he was going on his own at a year just when she had her second child. She figured she had to continue to EC or her first may lose what they had worked at. I will see her in October and find out how its all panned out ... Maybe get inspired!

I will be ECing this one from birth. I started with my DD at 3.5 months and we loved it. Besides the obvious advantage of less diaper laundry
, it was really cool being so aware of her needs and able to help her. It was a little hard at first, she was very much diaper trained even at 3.5 months, so I'm really looking forward to starting right from the beginning with this baby.
