Alive Magazine Article

Has anyone seen the September 2007 article by Dr. Joey Shulman called Baby food 101?

In the article she says that from bith to 4-6 months babies should be breastfed on demand .

Starting at 4 months babies can be fed 1 tsp of cereal a day.

6-9 months 4-6 breastfeedings a day

9-12 months 3-4 breastfeedings a day, dropping to a morning and a night-time feeding as your baby's food intake increases.

WTF?! Isn't most of this info wrong? The only part I agree with her about is a small infant should be fed on demand.

Oh. So this is the article my grandma was going on about the other day. Oh, you should pick up the newest Alive magazine! It has such a great article on feeding your baby!

Whatever. Figures. She can't understand that he's not eating solids yet at 3 mos. I can't get too angry with her, though, as she comes from a time when they dried up the mothers' milk in the hospital, and she didn't even know what menstruation was. The creepy hush-hush pseudo-scientific 50's.

DS would have a few things to say about that!
