What would an ideal day be like, if you could chose what you could do for the entire day, no interruptions...

This is a tough question. I guess because that's such an impossibility. Hmmm...I'd start the day with my coffee and computer time. The weather would be 75ish and perfect. I would open all the windows and enjoy the fresh air while I had my coffee. Then I would take a long relaxing leisurly shower. Then our whole family would enjoy a nice morning walk and perhaps some fun shopping. We'd have lunch at my favorite restaurant (not sure what it would be, since it would depend on my mood.) In the afternoon, we'd come back home and I would read a good novel for awhile before falling asleep for an afternoon nap. (DH would be taking care of the kids and catching up on all the housework during this time. ). DH would then fix me a nice dinner and we'd all perhaps play outside for awhile. Then come inside and watch a family movie together and eat hot cookies or popcorn.

What does baby still need?

Well, nothing really. I do need a swing, but I'm pretty sure my friend/neighbor will let me borrow hers. She has one of the fancy ones that goes forward/back and side/side and her dd is over a year old now, so doesn't need it right now. Being the third girl in under 5 years, there's not a whole lot we really need though. I'd love to have an Amby baby hammock, but I've decided to wait and see what the baby's personality is before I buy one.

I need some little things, like a few more nursing bras and some Lilypadz (I haven't tried these, but they look great. I want one pair to try.) I do have a bunch of cloth breast pads though. And I'll need some Lanolin. Mostly just nursing stuff.

Have you planned out the holiday and gifts already?

I do have the major gifts bought for my dd's and we will have our family Christmas at the end of dh's leave. We got them a Melissa and Doug wooden dollhouse (the simple furnished one, not the victorian one.) We also got them each a wooden doll bed (for regular size dolls, about 15-18 in. long maybe?) that comes with a pillow and blanket from Ikea. They love their baby dolls and play with them more than anything. I will probably pick up a few little things from "Santa" for Christmas morning, but my parents will be here and they'll also have gifts from them.

As for family, not really sure yet. DH just bought me a nice laptop and great photo/video software to go with it. After messing with it a bit, I think I would like to do personalized calenders and other photo related gifts for several people this year. We will also probably just do some gift cards, boring, I know, but that's what most of dh's family does.

What is your favorite baby item?

Last time around, I think it was my ring sling. But we also used the swing a lot and both dd's really loved the swing. But you can't beat the handiness of a ring sling. I used mine ALL...THE...TIME.

Do you have special prayer to say to baby after the birth?

Not really. Though we did say a prayer together sometime in the hours after both births. Nothing in particular or special though.

hehehehe I love my ring sling as well, found it and washed it and hung it to dry and now it is ready! DS never did like any swing. But when big enough he wanted to live in his bouncy swing, the new kind, not the door kind. He just now stopped using it at 22 month! Need a new one, his is no longer stable. LOL

How wonderful about the gifts! I love all the wooden toys and honestly think kids get too much these days at such holidays. I am slimming down my buying for each and it is HARD.

Sooooooo More questions:

What do you think the worlds BIGGEST one issue is?

Are you at all into social action or have a "cause" you give time or money to or would if you could?

Favorite Book?

Favorite Food of the moment? hehehehe

Oh, forgot about the jumpy seat! DD loved hers from about 3 months until 9 months (that's when she started walking.) We also have the new kind that takes up wayyyy..... too much room!

Well, last year, the grandparents all wanted us to wait to give them their Christmas presents until Christmas morning, and each set of grandparents sent multiple gifts for each of them. Plus, they had a big gift from "Santa" (a wooden play kitchen and accessories) and a few more things from us that I couldn't resist buying. They were truly overwhelmed. It was too much all at once. So, I thought it would be better to have our family Christmas a month ahead of time since my parents will join us for Christmas this year and there will be plenty for them to open on Christmas day. I'm also trying to stick with just those 2 items for Christmas from us, because I know it will be enough for them. But I'm having a really hard time resisting buying add-ons for the dollhouse from the Ryan's Room collection (which is more age appropriate than any of the other Melissa and Doug dollhouse stuff).

I'll do the other questions later.

TBH, I haven't give this much thought ever. I have no idea. There are many things that aren't right in the world, but ONE issue, ugh. Sorry, I don't think I can answer this one. I'll have to keep thinking on it and come up with an answer for personal satisfaction if nothing else since my week is almost up.

Are you at all into social action or have a "cause" you give time or money to or would if you could?

Not really. When I was in undergrad school, I worked in the community outreach department. I loved it! Nothing in particular grabbed me, just being able to help those who really couldn't help themselves in whatever capacity I could. Then again, I was also a social work major. Kind of goes hand in hand. But in grad school I got burnt out with doing, doing, doing, with 2 little babies and bummer internships. I started saying "no" to everything that wasn't vital to my schooling or my family. I don't think I've really recovered. I just don't want to do anything extra or any volunteer work anymore.

I guess the thing I do try to promote among friends/people I talk to is AP ideals and NFL ideals just because I think they are so important for our babies. I'm always quoting some study or fact letting people know the importance of this or that.

Money, well, I'm still rather stingy with our money. We haven't been in a position to give or help people for our entire married life. Things are starting to ease up, and we are more comfortable now, but definitely not in a place where we could give much, so I tend to be very stingy with it. Maybe someday I'll be able to feel like we can give to whatever cause I want to give to. DH's parents give 40% of their income to church and various charities. I really admire that!

Favorite Book?

Can't say I really have a favorite book. My favorite author though is Karen Kingsbury (comtemporary Christian fiction author.)

Favorite Food of the moment? hehehehe
Ugh, I hate food. I've had such food issues. Does coffee and/or bittersweet chocolate count? These would be my two vices that get me through. I guess organic black beans (I find they are much tastier than non-organic!) are at the top of my food list right now. I mix them into whatever it is I'm eating. And colby jack cheese is a favorite too, I always find a way to fit that in as well, or I'll just eat it plain.
