Actually at first for me it was HOT. After being given the okay (finally!) to try, and we didn't have to worry about an unplanned pregnancy and he didn't have to pull out and make a mess, I was a monster!

But then by month 5 we were DTD maybe three times a month because of various reasons and now we're down to MAYBE once per month. :

Shoot, there are days I think I'm going to make it to senior member before I can use the trading post, or whatever it is... Because I spend so much time here on MDC. I'm just naturally chatty. Heck, it's my job to be chatty.

i love our ddc! and i love that we're so active! and i love that we don't argue!

and and and...

i'm an august baby, incidentally. but this baby is definitely a product of february feistiness. i'm notoriously sex-crazed when things are still cold but just about to thaw..it's a weird quirk. melting snow = sex, in robina land.

Why not?! What else is there to do in Alaska in the dead of winter besides DTD?! Seriously, you gotta stay warm somehow!

Hmmm... except that Eskimo Kisses are just so... innocent!

And isn't it something like 6 months of darkness too (or am I delusional here)?

With 6 months of darkness, I am surprised all AKs don't install dancing poles, disco lights and leather swings in their bedrooms!

Gina, have you been spying on me???

But the darkness thing is more gradual and it's never completely dark where I live. And actually by February the light is starting to come back.

Funny, my getting pregnant experience is almost the exact opposite of Gina's. I took the OPT, got a positive, told DH, took care of a sick little girl all day, was sad all day that we we're going to have our Nov baby, then DH came into the room where I was sleeping with DD and left about 5 minutes later...but it was obviously long enough!!!! There is a small possibility that we could have conceived 4 days before that, but the 5 minute time was more likely based on OPTs.

These are great stories! Our pregnancy story is pretty unromantic also, but that's because it was an IUI at an RE's office. But if we wanted to make it sound sexy, I suppose we could mention that there was a third woman there with us!

To all those talking about lousy sex on special occasions... isn't that always the way it is? We used to "celebrate" each year on the anniversary of the first time we were together, and it never failed to be horrible. We finally just gave up on that date LOL.

About this baby, I have no story to tell... neither DH and I can remember any specifics! How sad is that! I know it was Valentine's Day, I know based on the dates I circled on my chart that it's the only possible day... but no exact memories of the event. In fact when I started suspecting I was PG, I had to look back at my chart to see how it was even possible LOL. Then when I told DH he was in such disbelief that I had to show him my chart to prove that it really could've happened...

tara, i don't have any specific memories, either...but for a different reason, which is that we had so much sex that week that it all is a blur! i have no idea which of those days could've been conception (though i do know when i ovulated because we were using fam -- until that point, to avoid) but it wouldn't matter if i did, because barely remember any of it!
