Got my sling today!

My new black Maya Wrap Lightly Padded sling came in the mail today! I got a matching doll sling for DD too! I LOVE my sling--I was able to thread it and get it on right away, and I am pretty good at adjusting it with one of DD's dolls in there--we'll see how I do with a real baby! And DD is SOOOOO CUTE with her matching doll sling! I practically had to wrestle it off of her for bedtime tonight--she carried her baby around in it all day! It is so adorable! She told me she can't wait to walk around stores together with our babies in our matching slings!!!

Anyone else make any exciting new purchases recently???

Ugh, yes! Could she be any more boring! God forbid that woman crack a smile or change the intonation of her voice every once in a while. She is dreadful. But I do really love my Maya LP!

Have you checked out the FSOT board on thebabywearer.com? I've seen them go for $40! The $60-70 range is average, I think, but you can get some amazing deals there!!!

oooo oooo i am buying the bpiab, too! my husband is on me to order it already now that we've decided which route we are going but i keep forgetting! tomorrow, hopefully.

a wahm friend of mine surprised me with the most BEAUTIFUL meitai recently. it's seriously gorgeous.

and i ordered our sleepingbaby.net ringsling yesterday and got confirmation that it shipped today. so i'm excited to get that, too! that one's more boring (khaki tencel) because it's for me and my husband to share, and i let him pick out the color because the meitai is not terribly masculine -- not that he cares or mentioned this at all, but i figure it was only fair. that will do it for slings, at least to begin with, so i'm happy to have that off my to-do list.

still don't have a stitch of clothing to put the babe in, but i figure s/he can hang out in the slings naked except for his/her kl0s. body heat, right? (seriously, i am just waiting to see what happens at the shower before i buy anything myself.)
