Funny thing is, I was reading the mothering article about GBS prevention, and it didn't mention probiotics (that I remember). There were other measures, but not probiotics. So as I get closer I'm going ot try the other measures as well, though I don't think I'll put garlic in the vagina, because I have always believed (and still do!) that the vagina is self-cleaning and I have never wanted to upset the natural balance. Garlic is a very harsh bulb, you don't want to get it in your eyes so why would I put it in my vagina! I know that goes against what a lot of people believe, but for me, that's my relationship with my body! ha ha.
If I tested positive and was going to retest, I might take more drastic measures.
I wonder when my OB tests, and if I can request a re-test closer to the baby's birth. With DS I tested positive pretty early, so I wonder if it came to delivery day if I would have tested positive still....
