Motherhood and worry seem to go together for many of us, and it doesn't end when you give birth to your healthy baby. If you're a control-lover like me, it's unnerving to know that something so important is going on inside you, and there's so little you can do to influence and monitor its progress. Worry during pregnancy is perfectly normal and understandable.
On the other hand, I think that hormones and brain chemistry can definitely trigger episodes of intense anxiety. I've been dealing with it for a while. For me, something about nursing would particularly set it off, and it was much worse with PMS. I worry about anything, but usually it's random bad things that could happen to ds. I've considered getting professional help for it. I don't know if this experience is normal, but I've decided to just live with it until I'm all done nursing and then see how I feel.
