Thyroid Diseases.. How soon PP did you check.

Just wondering how soon after birth did you have your thyroid levels checked?

I keep losing weight (lost all pg weight, and am down another 10lbs within 2 wks since birth).

I just want to be sure my synthroid is the right dose, especially with my weight loss..

Should I wait the 6wks?

I think I had mine checked at 6 weeks. My levels hadn't changed, and it took me several months before we needed to decreased my dosage. It's pretty normal for women to need to decrease their dosage by 6 weeks, so if you are feeling hyper then you might as well get your levels checked early. After being on synthroid for 4 years now, I know almost 100% of the time when my levels are off.
