Resources on anatomy for a 3 year old

My 3yo ds has really started showing interest in human anatomy lately. He makes comments about his baby brother's body and how it compares to his. He also wants to inspect my body, which I'm not totally comfortable with. (He needs a friend to play doctor with .) Anyway, does anyone know of any books or dolls or other resources that would be good for letting him explore this further?

ooh I just saw a really cool puzzle on fatbraintoys.com

I couldn't tell if it had a penis or not.

That is cool and, yes, it does have a penis.

My almost 4 year old has just become extremely interested in human anatomy so I'm subscribing for ideas!

We have this puzzle so far but I need more to keep him happy. He was enthralled at the doctor's office yesterday with an anatomy book the nurse let him look at. It wasn't too thick and the pages were laminated which would be great for younger ones. I'm hoping to find something similar for him.

~ETA:
Me and My Amazing Body looks like it might be a good book.
Uncover the Human Body does, too.

Dani, I love that puzzle! I totally plan to get one for my three year old with whom we are currently talking about anatomy a lot. She would love this!

I ordered both the boy and girl puzzles. Thanks so much. I can't wait to get them.

We have a The Cat in the Hat's Learning Library: Inside Your Outside: All About the Human Body and my kids really enjoy it. I also like the Professor Noggins Human Body game. I've learned a lot myself playing this one!

How ironic. I got my puzzles last week. This week I got my monthly package from Brighter Vision, which I've been planning to cancel, and guess what the theme was. The body! It came with a reading book, an activity book, a kit to make stick people and a skeleton puzzle. Granted, the puzzle isn't nearly as in depth as the ones I got but it's like they read our minds.

I'm studying midwifery so have a ton of Anatomy books around and I just let my kids go through them as they like. DS loves to look through the books and it does result in some interesting discussions.

DS: "What's that coming out of there?"
Me: "That's a baby being born."
DS: "Why is it all messy?"
Me: "That's just what is inside the Mommy with the baby before it's born."
DS: "Is that what I looked like when I was born?"
Me: "Yes."
DS: "Gross."

Hehe patty. My 3yo was home for the waterbirth of my youngest. We've had some very interesting conversations about the whole thing. He kept saying the baby came out of my butt so I finally told him that he came out of my vagina. My ds said, "The baby can't come out of there! There's too much hair in China!"

Lol, I am an usborne consultant too and both of those books were the first ones I thought of as well. In fact, I looooove the "see inside your body" book. I am an RN, and I that the book was so well done and it presents the human body in fun, bite-sized pieces and the illustrations are great. In fact, I am a big fan of the whole, "see inside..." series. Did you see the fairies one??? I got it for my niece as a gift and now I want a copy for myself, lol. My kids are still a little young for it, but I've sold many of the, "see inside your body" books, due to my enthusiasm about it, esp being a nurse. My son (3.5) likes the flip flap body book, it's more appropriate for his age, but he has played around with the see inside your body book too and likes it too, and it's one of those books that I find really interesting as well.

I think we have at least one of these from when my dh was considering a career in pediatric physical therapy. I'll have to see if I can dig it out.
