my mom set her vacation time too

my mom is taking the first 3 weeks of Nov off.

our EDD is the 6th, but Theo came at week 38 which is Oct 23, but with Theo i was trying to start labor naturally to avoid being induced.....

I need to ask her what weeks she means though -- nov 5th is the first Monday of the month.

so i need to hold on till then before having this one to make life soooooooooooooooooo much easier.

Yeah, sometimes having parents around does make life easier - sometimes it doesn't. Sounds like you're hoping your mom will be around at the beginning, so hopefully that works out for you.

I'm lucky to have all 4 grandparents in the same city and on standby for anything at any time, and to have a pretty decent relationship with all of them.

This is why I want to have a close family and be a great mom! I want my kids and their partners to never cringe when I blow into town or to be able to depend on me when things come up without feeling like I am a burden. There are too many bad relationships out there! It's time for some good ones.

I wonder if it will be harder to win over my boys' partners than if I'd had daughters. Hmmm....!

Mom is AWSOME -- not let's not talk abotu MIL : :

Mom was here over two week with Theo's birth and is the only reason i survived getting him on to the breast.

mom comes about once every 4 to 6 weeks for 4 or 5 day -- is when everything gets done

she has cooked thanksgiving and christmas dinner the last 2 years at our house.

she will be with Theo when i have the baby

but -- she lives 7 hours drive time from here -- so if i can have her here BEFORE labor, it would make things less stressful.

I know i am luck to have her

(and i pay the bill with MIL)
