No, in fact I'm NOT ready yet!

I don't know if it's because people "feel sorry" for me for being so out-there, round-bellied with a very active toddler, but EVERYWHERE i go people ask me "SO, you ready to have that baby yet?" Strangers say it without knowing when I'm due, friends I see on a regular basis ask regularly.

NO!!!!!!! I remain calm, but I'm sure to say "Actually I'm hoping to keep her in for at least another two months so she can finish cooking." Sometimes people are surprised that I have that long left, other times they make a dumb comment about having small babies out of convenience.

I'm sure people are trying to just be nice and sympathetic or something. But dang, why do I attract THAT comment every time?

Get yourself a t-shirt. "No, I am not ready yet!"

People just don't think before they talk.

I always get those comments. I am huge, and have an almost 2 year old who is very spirited. I think people make comments like that b/c they feel sorry for me. But, I, too would like to let this baby fully cook.

People just say really stupid things to pregnant women, I've decided. Really, really stupid things. There is something about being visibly pregnant that makes people think you are public property. I'm not sure why -- if you see someone in a wheel chair, you don't automatically say something like, "So, how long since you were able to walk?"

I'm tired of hearing, "So, how are you feeling?", particularly from people I work with. I don't want to talk about how I feel at work!

Also tired of:
"How much longer do you have? Really?? That's going to be a big baby!" (I've only heard this twice, but that was two times too many)
"Wow, you're really looking pregnant!"
"So, are you in the craving pickles and ice cream stage?" I have one volunteer at work who asks me this EVERY TIME I SEE HIM. Last time I said no, I'd progressed to the stage where I had occasional murderous impulses.

Lately I've just been smiling and not saying anything back when I hear something stupid come out of a stranger's mouth. It works really well bc it gives them time to think about what they just said and wonder if it was the wrong thing to say. Plus, the silence is really awkward for them, but I kinda enjoy it.

That's my kind of style.

My vote is still for "I am not pregnant!" DH once told someone I just have a beer belly.

At least people even notice your pregnant! Still so many just do not think I am. Even when I tell them how long I have left they are shock and ask dumb things, like is baby healthy? YES! I am just over weight to begin with. I am 197lbs now. I lost 25 and then gained it back. Most people comment that I look like I lost weight but do not notice the belly I think is now HUGE. But hey, with boobs like mine, why look any lower right? LOL

Blessings,
Kimmy

Honestly, I am TIRED of being pregnant. I know this little one needs longer, and I don't *want* to deliver early (delivered my twins at 36w, so first-hand experience).

But I wouldn't mind a fast forward button.

A fast forward button would be PERFECT! What a great idea!!!

Whenever random people make the usual comments ("Are you sure there's only one in there?" etc.) I've started looking offended and asking them what they're talking about.
