What are your favorite diaper/cover colors?

What are your favorite diaper/cover colors? Is there a color that speaks to you more than others?

One more question: what is your favorite gender neutral color?

The colors that speak to me are turquoise/robin's egg blue, periwinkle, and most greens. I wear these often myself, and love finding diapers for DS in these colors!

Orange - it's DD's favorite color, and she won't fight me if I'm putting an orange cover on her - LOL - opinionated little thing!

I personally prefer white because it doesn't show through her clothes. I'm so boring! : Plus I can use white with newbaby if it happens to be a boy.

I love anything purple or green. I was so uneducated about diapers with DS that I only had a couple cute things. Now with DD I have gone wild have a bunch of stuff ordered!

I like girly colors. I also love bright yellows, greens and blues. I don't have any pretty covers. I am too frugal to buy anything I couldn't use for a boy so right now I have just plain white ones.

I love blue, all shades but especially robin's egg blue, so it's a good thing I have a boy.

I like things with a lot of contrast. Even a simple wool cover can be colorful and attractive when it's serged with contrasting thread -- see what Tabitha at Toot Sweet does, for example. Coordinating is cute, but constrasting is da bomb!

I love the blues and periwinkles, too. All shades of blues, in fact. I was buying blue stuff before we knew we were having a boy, because I love blue so much that I would put it on a girl, too!

same here- minus the rasberry. Plus I also like green, really ugly grens like chartruese and lime and the like (not hunter or teal- blech!)

I love sherberty colors(melon, lemon, lime, watermelon) and anything in a shade of purple

I feel ALL colors have their place. For my boy I use white serged in a brilliant color, (ie. white dipe with red or blue or whatever color that will stand out) unless I make a picture, then I either serge in white or a dominant color of the picture or the fabric color I'm using. I love shades of blue and green mostly. I do like Red or jewel tones or bright colors that are in a neutral design as well.

If I had a girl I'd do tones of green, coral, peaches, watermellon, berries (not pink pink or peptobismol pink) and PURPLES love purples.

I'm not big on yellow, but do think it has it's place if done right, and black is morbid unless it's brightened up with something happy. Neutral colors can be anything as long as it's done right iykwim. You can have a blue be neutral by making it a water or sky theme. but imo you can't make pink neutral LOL. Dark purple can be used for neutral if mixed with other colors like bright blues, reds, yellows, greens and oranges ect in a non-gender design.


OK, so I like too many colors, just bring them on

OH and the white ones, I have some white knit diapers that are super trim serged in red they look like whitie tighties and are so darn cute, so I agree, even white can be fun.

Why not white dipe with orange serging, that's gender neutral and still gives your dd a bit of what she likes too. (ohhhhhhhhh I see a white diaper with orange serging and an orange slice on the butt )

For diapers, I'm pretty much a print-fiend, and I strive for color balance in the stash as well as types of prints.

For covers, I especially like the kool aid dyed wool covers, especially oranges, greens, and blues. I love contrasting colors in a cover, like orange and green, or blue and white. I also go for unusual colors-- I love the Fuz egg warm grey color, which lots of people don't.

It's ok YOU can LOVE black, just for me to enjoy it, it'd have to have color to spruce it up (like say jewel tone or primary tones rainbow serging or a big yellow happy face on the butt lol), even black has it's place.
