I am just starting to think that maybe I should pack over the next week or two... I want to have things ready to go and delivered at 37.5 wks with DS. Anyone else packed or packing yet?

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Noooo, but I've been thinking about it. I need to find some comfy nightgowns first because I don't really have any. I just don't want to spend money on that. I guess I better not wait 'til the last second though.

No...but I have "piles" of what I might take.
Old navy is having a big sale, and I just bought a few lounge pants that look so comfy. We are planning on a drive through birth, so I'm not bringing too much.
Are any of you bringing any homeopathics? Just wondering what else is in your bag besides clothes....

Haven't packed yet. Goal is to have that done by 34.5 weeks (first was born at 35, second at full term).
I like big t-shirts for birth, and yoga-like pants for afterward.

Not even thinking about it yet! Nope, I won't worry about it until I'm 38 weeks, if baby comes before that, oh well, I'll throw some stuff together. I want to remain in denial as long as possible.

I've got a "to pack" list made, and have started throwing things in a paper bag as I think about them, so I'm making progress. I still have a few things on the list ahead of that to panic about.

Not completely...but I really need to get on this one... Our toiletries bag is all set. DH demanded that we do that first after he was without deoderant for ds's birth and had to use mine
(I thought it was fun to tell him that he smelled pretty
)
I did vow to have it done before the end of September, though...so I still have a little more than two weeks left, right?

We're in the same boat! My wife was born at 32 weeks, so you'd think we'd prepare early, but no. We also have our crib in the box, unassembled. I want to put it together, but the boy is going to share a room with us and it will just take up space until he is here. It does make me a little nervous, but we'll deal.

No, but I have been thinking about it.. I go long historically but watch this one will come early just to mess with my head! I do need to at least get my list together...I did buy two NB outfits (one boy one girl) will return one (obviously!).. I rarely indulge in new baby clothes with all accessories but I DID this time (OK so they are from Target and economical but still)
really must get organized...

I was just thinking about this this morning. I got a really nice nursing nightgown from my mother with a matching bathrobe but I am so afraid I will bleed on it. I am thinking- I am kinda shy so I don't know if I should bring a tankini top for when I am laboring in the tub... isn't it odd that I don't want my OB to see my boobs but I am ok with her checking out my hoo-ha?
I gotta re-think this. I also have to get a going-home outfit for the baby- it didn't occur to me that the gown thingies we got for her would not work with a carseat. *sigh* so much to think about...

No packing here yet, either--but I do have a running list of what I need. DH and I have a busy month (lots and lots of work travel, family wedding where DH is the 'minister' and I'm a bridesmaid, and a meeting with my PhD committee about a yet-to-be-finished chapter). Too much to do before I can even think about packing for the birth.
I kinda had a panic attack about the packing and our serious lack of baby stuff the other night--but then I figured that the hospital will probably have most of the things we need for the birth (they are very natrual birth friendly, and when we went on our tour they kept showing us stuff that I had on my 'to pack' list). There's a really cute baby store near the hospital that is too expensive to really shop at--but I could send DH there for a coming home outfit
--and then out for a breastfeeding pillow and a few other things, if need be. A car seat is one of the few things we do have, so we'd really be ok. Besides--I have a really strong intuition (as does DH) that the baby will come about a week after the EDD... so we wtill have time, if intuition is right.

And I'm packing my skirted bathing suit for the labor tub too! I'm laboring with my birth team, not lounging at the hot springs with the hippies!

I packed all kinds of birthing "wear" for ds...but at some point early on, I NEEDED to be completely naked. Even after my water broke, I refused those mesh undies...
: The RN thought I was nuts, but, I didnt have to clean it up
Probably planning on bringing stuff this time as well, but, I'm now much more open to being naked.

I haven't packed anything but started a list.
I love Land's End nightshirts for those that might be looking. They hold up a really long time. My oldest one from them is well over 4 years old and still in perfect condition. http://www.landsend.com/cd/index/fp/0,,72119,00.html

Packing? Hmmm, I put a bag together while having contractions with DS
Well, tried. I kept telling DH what I needed and he kept making the bed.
