Washing Wool Stuffed Toys?

One of our wool stuffed babies is really dirty. She looks like she has a black eye. Her whole sewn on outfit is really grungy. Any suggestions on how to clean her up? Thanks!

You can try hand washing in cold and then air dry. Don't wash in warm or put it in the dryer, or the wool will felt and become very lumpy. Be sure to gently squeeze out as much water as possible but don't agitate. Some companies recommend only spot cleaning but I have had good luck with cold water hand washing.
