Is sex bad if I'm dilated?

DP seems to think so, but I want to get things moving... I'm only 1cm, as far as I know.. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt the baby, but I want your opinions please!

as far as i know, as long as your water bag is intact, you are good to go on the sex front!

As long as your bag of waters is intact, go at it! It can only help you dilate more.

If you aren't leaking water, you are good to go.....

You could be several cm dilated for weeks before you give birth, so if you are feeling up to it, by all means get to it!!!

Go for it mama! My midwife told me "S-E-X, beer, and pizza!" yesterday at my appt. So, we had juice & rums, pizza, and then the most uncomfy (TMI) sex ever, but within twenty minutes, contractions started and continued...until we fell asleep at midnight to see if they were the real thing or not. Now I sit here hoping the contractions will start up again more than they are currently at (barely even every 10 minutes!). Oy, but if your water has broken, get some sperm up there!

Without broken water, it should be fine. I've been having sex, and am 4cm dialated. Hopefully it'll help start something, for both of us.
