The Webster Technique

Anyone have it done and then have cramping the next day? I'm cramping in the front and back today, and baby is now in a different spot as well.

I felt a little crampy after my five sessions - most noticeably after the first one. My bowels felt a little loose as well (TMI...) It didn't work to turn the baby from breech, but I always kind of wondered if it got my labor started a little earlier. Of course, I could have been feeling crampy and such not because of the sessions, but because I was going to have my baby (went into labor the day after the last one, I think).

I've had it done a lot, but I've never noticed cramping as a result.

That can happen.

I got adjusted two weeks ago (full spine, but no Webster) and the baby had been breech. The day after I got adjusted I was so uncomfortable and crampy I could barely do anything. It was hard for me to concentrate on what people were saying to me I was so uncomfortable. The baby was definitely moving around and did move to vertex.

Hopefully your baby is just settling into optimal position, but if you're worried call your MW/OB.

I just finished a whole round of the Webster - at least 10 visits (baby turned, yeah!) and don't remember feeling crampy.

But chiro care can open up a lot in your body and I would imagine you could have cramping as a result, or it could just be a coincidence.

Best wishes,
Tracy
