Everything went fine. Baby is doing great. Measurements, etc were all good. Showed her the birth kit and there are only a few more things I need to gather. Can't believe I'm going to be seeing her again in 2 weeks!
So, the midwife was wonderful...as usual.
My kids, on the other hand, we completely off the hook! OMG. Next time, I swear I'm locking them in the closet beforehand.
:
You'd think they never received any attention from anyone. Or ever got fed... My 21 month old I can understand. But, my 6.5 year old?!? I got so angry and frustrated with her that I told her I don't want her around anymore when the midwives are here.
: Yes, another shining parenting moment for me...
I kept asking her to find something to do so that we could finish up the appointment and then I would spend time with her and get her whatever she needed. Well...she refused. Meanwhile, dd2 is playing the piano and singing at the top of her lungs!
Whenever the midwife wanted to touch me in any way, both girls practically tackled me!
As soon as she left, dd1 takes off running across the house and down the stairs, yelling "TV TIME, TV TIME!" What happened the the desperate need to be in constant physical contact with Mommy?!?! OH...
I told her to forget about the TV and go find something else to do...
Dh received a very nice e-mail from me afterwards...
Poor guy. Hey, at least I knew my limits and didn't CALL him on the phone and take it out on him...right?
Thankfully, dd2 fell asleep right after eating lunch. I feel like I'm getting a little bit of space to breathe...
