In an effort to recycle old diapers.....

Can anyone tell me some good measurements for making my old prefitteds into a smaller size, say for size sm? they were made with normal large prefolds, and I would love to trim them up and add new elastic to make them for a size small. they are still so pretty, but wouldn't be used at that size for quite awhile and I wouldn't even use them as the elastic is shot and the ends are frayed. I have a TON that a friend made for me and all pretty colors.
thanks!

This link has a page on diaper measurements.

I think it is just the measurements of common brand diapers but it'll give you an idea of where to start. I did this with some old prefolds and flats from DD. I made them into fitted diapers, contoured inserts, or doublers for inside fitteds for DS.

Here's another site that has a lot of info on sewing your own cloth diapers and frugal diapering tips. Maybe you can find something there.

I have a stack of old flannel receiving blankets and baby towels that are about to become more fitted diapers!! This stuff is addictive
