Oh, my, this is so embarassing and that is exactly why I am outing myself. So, I won't let it happen again.

I have lived in the same house for 10 yrs. Before yesterday, I had never cleaned the windows. Right now, I am looking out my sparkling windows and it is making me soooo happy. I can't believe what a difference it makes.

I pledge to wash my windows once a month.

I've lived in the same house for almost 8 years and never cleaned the baseboards. We're getting the interior painted so I cleaned the baseboard...It was amazing!

I've never cleaned my windows either. And the tops of my kitchen cupboards are absolutely disgusting. I don't understand how they get so dirty and sticky.

Somehow every time I clean the windows, they just look worse. So far I've been too lazy to make a new cleaning mix.

I have an enourmous stack of clothes my Dc have out grown sitting in the crib. They have been sitting there so long I am sure there is a layer of dust on them

Condensation from cooking, dust and stuff lands on the slightly wet surface and then the moisture dust paste gets heated up and cooled down with every meal cooked. I have to admit to being the dork that climbs up there once a week and wipes it down.

My filing "pile", which started in a basket is now a huge box in the garage and I just keep adding to it. I used to be really on top of that stuff. Now...not so much.

I just used straight white vinegar. Give it a try. It works and it's easy.

I keep the ceiling fans going all the time so I don't have to see the build up of dirt that will fall off the edges when the blades stop moving

That and I have bare CFL bulbs hanging out of mine because I hate dusting the glass covers (I threw them away when we moved in)

We've lived in our house 9 years and never washed the windows until we listed our house for sale this summer. We paid a guy $85 and I can't believe the difference!! I'll never let them get that nasty again!

That is so funny! I live in a house where the kitchen floor is, I think, Travertine? Some kind of rugged gray stone. I didn't wash it for almost 2 years--it looked great. Then, when I was preg and nesting, I broke out the mop and realized that the kitchen floor is actually TAN, not GRAY!!

It looks good either way, honestly.
