I have no room in my life for washing windows and I am not ashamed to admit it

Recently, we started replacing the old windows and storms with new, tilt-in windows. My husband washes them once in a while and I do admit it looks nice but not nice enough for me to take the time to do it myself.

Can I just : to everyone's post?

I just bought new tupperware.

Because that was easier than facing the almost-sentient leftovers in the old ones. :

It sounds like you already filed it.

Everything that is out of place i our house gets set in our room to be out of place there.

I'm not sure we'll ever see the tops of our dressers again.

I empty mine and DH's hampers empty by tossing them in the washer whenever I've got a full load.. but the bottom of my closet is covered with dirty clothes. It's always that way. Every few months I'll try to wash ALL of the clothes in one day, but in a couple of weeks it's covered again.

This isn't exactly housekeeping, but yard-keeping...
There's a weed in my backyard that's turned into a bush. It's scary.

Grody!

Our banister is painted white and it was so gross, with what I thought was cracks in the paint, that I decided to re-paint it. As a part of my paint prep, I cleaned it first and imagine my surprise that the "cracks" were actually DIRT!!!! :

Well, you know what they say about a clean house being a sign of a wasted life.

Well, we're military, so we move every 2-3 years, so things don't have decades to get grimy, but....

When I get busy and forget to do laundry and DH is running out of underwear, I have very occasionally "rescued" a pair from the dirty laundry, run deoderant over the naughty parts of the boxers, let them "air out" on the balcony, and then folded them and put them in the drawer.

: I'm pretty sure that isn't up to Army regulations

I always do laundry as soon as possible after that.

OK that raises the bar on "Things that make you go hhhmmm"...

I love this! So, I think that my (biggest : ) confession has to be that I "forget" to do the laundry until I run out of underwear...

In my defense, this is a man who spent 72 days straight in Iraq w/o a shower, so, day old underwear isn't going to cause him to break out in hives...

I moved 3 mos. ago and have never washed the whole bathroom floor-- I just wipe the dirty looking parts with a rag after I scrub the fixtures.
I also have 2 boxes that I don't know when I'll unpack.

However, I'm doing MUCH better than I did in the 2.5 yrs. I lived at my old house-- I've mopped the kitchen floor every week or so here and I didn't do it ONCE at my old house. Same with window washing.

Me too!

Besides all the clean laundry piles, I have spray on the mirrors in my bathroom from where I brush my teeth. I keep meaning to clean it, but I usually get around to it about once a week. Well, at least I have proof that I brush my teeth....

It looks good either way, honestly.
LOL! Our current floors are gray and I have to remind myself to wash them regularly. It's amazing how dirty the water is when I DO wash.
