"Nemo" is playing tricks on mama already!

And I don't much care for his reindeer games!
Last evening, I started getting what felt like BH. But they kept coming. So I went to that contraction counter site.
They were about 5-7 mins apart and lasting a pretty consistant 1.25-1.5mins long.

This went on for a couple of hours. I wanted to wait. DD needed BADLY to get to bed. I didn't want to rally the troops and go to L&D and be told I was dehydrated again. (Despite knowing I really wasn't)
Finally went to bed and they got quite painful low down. DH brought the laptop up b/c I told him I was pretty sure this was it. We counted a few. Then nothing. They just stopped.:

THEN I thought gee, haven't felt him move for a while. Then spent over 30mins jabbing, pushing (HARD) and drinking OJ trying to get SOME movenment. I was very scared. Finally after putting a hand on each side of my belly and shaking probably too hard for my own good he moved a bit.
I fell asleep and woke up sore from all the contractions.

I've had BH on and off all day, but without the low pain.

So "Nemo", I would appreciate it if you don't do this again. If you are ready great-but no mind games, OK?

Sorry mama, that must have been frustrating : . That means you're getting closer though, right? Hang in there!

I am so sorry. I had many days of 2-3 minute apart painful contractions that ended up going nowhere. It is so frustrating. It does help though. This was by far my fastest labor. I hope "nemo" decides to be ready really soon and stop frustrating mama!

Arghhhhh, that is my story of last night and today!!! Thanks for starting a new thread for it since I've thought about it but finally decided, ahh, who cares, maybe it'll kick into gear shortly?!?!

My midwife prescribed "S-E-X, pizza, & Beer (which I don't like, so we did rum & juice)" and we went to town with it and 20 minutes after the (TMI), contractions. Deep, low contractions. And they went on for a good 4 hours steadily from 10 to 8 to 7 to 6 to 5 minutes. Then we said, hey, let's try to get some rest for the big show. And poof. No more contractions. Now today all day long I've had these light weight contractions (but not BHs) every 8-15 minutes. Geez, I can't wait for the actual labor to begin. So, again, thanks for posting, since I've been avoiding it! ANd good luck mama. Maybe we'll be both meeting our babes tonight (hopefully while my DD is in bed deep asleep!).

Same here! Oh, I feel your pain. I really haven't felt any braxton hicks until earlier this week. I had them for hours on Monday, then they sped up in pain, intense, and close contractions. Called in the midwives- then NOTHING. That was all on Monday. I haven't had anything substantial since then. Frustrating.

I am due on Friday and just waiting.
