what do you make of this?

we delay/selectively vax here.

on monday my 5 year old got her before Kindergarten shots.
And now her arm looks like this!

After 4 kids I have never seen a reaction like this.
Her arm is swollen and there is a hard knot at the top injection site(in pic). It is a circle shape and as wide as her arm. Pretty big considering how tiny her arms are. Imagine if your entire upper arm was like that!

The red spots are warm to the touch and still very tender. It has been over 48 hours.
She did have a mild fever yesterday but today seems fine. Other then what you see in the pics, she seems fine.

oh yeah, I called the "on call" doc and got an "it's fine and should go away soon" remark.

Just wondering if any one else has seen this.

yes, but do you think it is something I should worry about?
I am worried but this is my little girl.

Well a dr. will tell you it's "normal"

It's not something I would personally be comfortable with, but that sort of reaction is very, very common. It's to be expected if you're vaxing.

Which vax did they give her? Looks like an immune response by her body to the shots. Geez, looks like she got attacked by bees! If you are worried or have a 'gut feeling' that something is wrong, call that doctor and keep pestering him until he has you bring her in. I hope your DD is better soon!
