Could this be my period? Wth!

I'll be 5 weeks pp tomorrow. My lochia was almost gone - just a pale yellow discharge - until yesterday, when I went to the bathroom and saw red blood on the pantyliner. It's not a lot, more than spotting but much less than a regular period, and it'll stop for a few hours here and there - which makes me think it might not be af. But is it possible for pp bleeding to restart like this?

Weirdly enough, that happened to me yesterday. Not much flow, just enough to be a PITA and I had to wear a pad. But, it stopped today. I read that sometimes after you stop bleeding, you can get a little bit of painless bleeding for awhile, but it's supposed to go away. I hope I don't have another period for a whole YEAR, ha ha ha!

Oh, also we had sex a few days before that, not sure if that triggered it for me, anyway.

Not unusual in my opinion. It's almost definitely a restart of pp bleeding.
Mine stopped at 6 weeks and restarted at around 9-10 with both my kids... no period in sight for another year in both cases.

I got my period back at five and half weeks pp. :

It was light spotting on and off for a week. It happened again four weeks after that.

Hopefully it's pp bleeding for you though!

Nothing out of the ordinary. That was my first thought, too.

I hardly bled overnight - hopefully this is just pp bleeding! I went 14 months with no af after the birth of ds1 (and then promptly conceived), so I was really looking forward to another year or so! I guess I'll find out in a month.

It's possible... I got my period about TWO WEEKS after giving birth, then another right on schedule 28 days later, then got pg directly afterwards. It's certainly possible. Not probable, but possible.

i had pp bleeding for 8 weeks after giving birth to dd. by the end it would stop and start too. i kep thinking i was getting af. i got af after about 3.5months pp. i would guess that it's probably pp bleeding, although you never know, as some poster have mentioned, they got theirs back really early.

I had a couple days of that around 5 weeks pp w/DD. It wasn't a period... just went away. I called the midwife adn a nurse told me it's not unusual for stuff like that to happen w/in the first 6 weeks... that is, for the bleeding to go away and come back and go away again.
