We're finally getting it!

Well after 5 days of problems with breastfeeding, I think we're finally getting it. Liam had established a really bad latch at the hospital and I had been trying everything to get a better one with not much luck. He has a great suck and was getting lots of milk, but was causing me a ton of pain. He has a tendency to not open his mouth wide enough and it wasn't helping that I was having some sensitivity issues. After seeing two LC's, and lots of practice, today he's been doing much better.

I should be able to start checking in here more. I hope all the mamas still waiting are holding up, and all the new mamas are doing well!

Great job! You did the right thing by getting help early on rather than suffering through the pain. Keep us posted as to how it is going.

As breastfeeding the first time around (hopefully not this time!, knock on wood) was the hardest part of the whole pregnancy for me, I give you a big congratulations!!! For using resources and getting a handle on it early! Cheers! And happy baby mooning!
