For those interested: I received the anji ivf cd yesterday. I have to say, I don't love it as much as I thought I might. I may have been in a foul mood when I listened, so I'll try it again tonight. the xxfertility cd seemed much more nurturing, but again, I'll listen to the new one tonight and see if I feel differently~

Nicole, I swear you are psychic! : My RE called to give us the fert report at 9:30!

So out of our 17 eggs...(Drumroll) 12 fertilized correctly! He says that's REALLY good, especially considering we had a sperm issue in addition to my pcos! If they don't call me by 8:15 Sat morn, then that's when my embryo transfer is! Yay! I start estrace and IM progesterone shots today. Other than that I'm just keeping it low key. I'm feeling a little "off", runny nose, sneezing, etc. I think I'll feel better by embryo transfer, though.

How is everyone else doing?

Sorry that you're unsatisfied with the cd. I'm still a little confused as to what the cds are. Is it music, chanting? Sounds very interesting! Looking forward to finding out more about them!

Yeah, we're transferring two. If we have any leftovers, we're freezing them. I'm drinking oj and trying to pump myself full of vit c. Any thing else I can do short of taking otc meds to get over this faster? I don't want to be sneezing and coughing when they're trying to put the delicate little embies back. Any suggestions?

The CD is spoken work guided meditations with musical accompaniment.

Sounds like you will have many embies to freeze~ideal!


I do have a home remedy, it helps with the acid-alkaline balance of the body.

Hot as you can stand it bath with 3 cups epsom salt and 3 cups apple cider vinegar. Stay in for twenty minutes, or as long as you can stand it.
Drain water while remaining in tub and then take a cold as you can shower for minimum 5 minutes. This ends the mini detox you are doing.

Lots and lots of distilled water during and after, which it sounds like you are doing.

devilish f~ Good to hear all is good with you. How are the embies? When they call you they give you lots of info., have a pad and pen ready and have them go slow and ask questions. It helped me to make notes, once the call ended I always felt like it was told to quick.. it helped me lots to have notes to go back to and review~ I found I did ask what I needed to. Also it helps to have a few questions ready for when they call, they cover lots of things but it helps to hear things twice. Also, they sometimes call you earlier than they estimate, I gave them my cell number to call, incase I needed to step out, I didn't want to miss the calls. GOOD LUCK! ** Try some cinnamon tea** It helps warm your chest up quick, stay indoors and rest.

OK, so I am soooo nervous now, my beta testing is tomorrow , I can hardly believe it! So far so good (I think), even with my panic episode and all, I have been feeling more tired, boobs ache a bit, hope it's not the "false" pg pains my head has developed.. last night was my first "feel like crap" evening, I was so tired didn't dress up for Halloween and was almost too tired to pass out candy~ but we did! Last night is a complete blurr..:
I hope to have good news tomorrow, I want this for us so much : DH says if worse comes to worse, we'll do it all over again, I guess we would take a month off maybe two and then start over with our frozen embies! He's been a real sweetheart through all this, could not have done it without his support~he's trully my ROCK! Ok so now for something kinda gross~~ has anyone heard of or knew someone that had the following happen to them?: sometimes, if I bend to low or squish my abdomen, when I straighten up I get a small amount of vaginal clear fluid w/discharge ?? I first noticed it happened this past Sunday and then 1 a day or everyother day since. ER had mentioned to me that once my ovaries were getting back to normal it was also normal for a clear liquid not a discharge~ has anyone experienced this? It wasn't just the clear liquid (by the way it's not urine, no smell to it) it was also with some white discharge. **ANY info. on this, experience or otherwise, would be greatly appreciated! I'm so confused:

So, I did the im progesterone shot today. Not so bad. Feeling a little nauseas, but nothing too bad. I'm going to try those to get over this mini-cold fast.
Our Time - I'm so excited for you! I have such good feelings that this will turn out for you! Be sure to let us know! Today they only told me how many fertilized... When do they tell many how many 1s,2s, etc? Is that the morning of day 3?

How are the other mamas doing? Would love to hear from the others that did ivf this cycle!

Nicole- the progesterone shot wasn't too bad, not painful, mostly just a little uncomfortable. That's a THICK oil! I'm a bit sore on that side today, but nothing too bad. Certainly not as bad as when I was on depo provera! : DH massaged the area after he gave me the shot. I did it in the hip area, I heard the thigh was VERY uncomfortable! I forgot, do you have the progesterone in oil, or do you have the suppositories?

The amount of pills I have to take today and tomorrow is dizzying! : tonight and tomorrow morn is the last of the doxycicline, tomorrow I have to take a xanax and 800mg ibruprofen, ontop of the 2 estrace, 2 metformin, medrol, baby aspirin, prenatal vit, and vit e (I think I got them all! ) You have to do what has to be done though.

Devilish f~glad that the IM progesterone shot is going well, so many pills and you're right~ do what we must do it's all for a great purpose!! Hang in there. I believe day 3 is when they start telling you about good, fair or poor quality or when they give it a number.. now looking back at the embryo data is was quite confusing, too technical. Keep us updated! Your 3day transfer is tomorrow~~ yipee!!

Ok, so last night I was so tired, I feel asleep on the couch before 8pm, woke up and went to bed, too late-- I was wide awake. I stayed in bed trying to fall back asleep, didn't. I should've just gotten up and watched some TV, I missed some really good shows that I had planned to watch to help the evening end sooner (or so I thought). Finally fell asleep about 10ish.. slept well but when dh got up for work today (3:15am) again I was wide awake~~ needless to say, I am tired this morning.. But at last 11/2 has finally arrived, yeay!!

My bw apt is schedule for 11:30am, I was planning on just taking an early lunch and going in but when I arrived work, my sales guy is not here! He will not be in today period and on top of that my boss is coming in today to visit and review some stuff.. talk about stressful! Now I don't know how I'll be sneaking out, I will find away, believe me~~ I've been waiting 2wks for this day! Anyhow, I'll update you with our news later this afternoon. I feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin!! Need to relax, but can't think of anything else!!

We're PREGNANT!!!!

b/w apt at 11:30am, got back to the office at 12ish.. my RE called me at 1pm to say ~~ CONGRATULATIONS!!! She said they like to see HCG level at 100 and that I am at 239 !! so after I stop crying and hang up w/RE I call DH - he doesn't pick up arh!.. I tried speed re-dial for like 4-1/2 mins's.. he finally answers~ at this poing I'm crying again and in the best possible voice I say "we're pregnant!" he was beside himself, "what?" "really?!" He was so happy, I could see his smile through the phone!! We're so happy!! it's been an awesome experience~ the bad, the hope, the dreams, the despair, the loss (everytime AF revisited) and to finally end up where we hoped we would~~ so happy! Thank you for all your good wishes and blessings. I have a follow up b/w apt. next week, Tuesday, I guess they check your progress a few times thru b/w after a possitive result.. whatever it takes!! Whatever it takes baby!!

I don't know how it works but would it be worth you looking into getting a sup. insurance that would cover ivf? I don't know what your plans are, so forgive my intrusiveness, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Again, forgive my comments if they find you at a bad time. Hope all is good with you.
