Sick of prodromal labor

Thread Starter
Since 3 am this morning...prodromal labor...contractions every 5-45 minutes (yes, quite a span--it's more like, 5, 5, 5, 45, 5, 5, 20, etc. kinda deal)...I'm exhausted and sore...I just want to be done. I mean, seriously, if I'm going to be having contractions, I want them to be GOING SOMEWHERE!

I know it's not active labor--I just wish it would be...then I could get it over with and be done being pregnant and holding my son!

I just want to be done! :

not in your ddc but wanted to send you hugs. I was in prodromal labor hell for THREE weeks last time. It really messed with my head. Get rest. Take it easy. And TRY not to **think** about it (I know, I know). Baby will get here when baby (and you) is ready.

eta; my edd was oct 23rd and baby was born nov 15th!!! hang in there mama!

I'm sure I'll be kicking myself for saying this, but I kind of wish I could have some prodromal labor just I know that SOMETHING is happening.
My EDD is in 4 days, and with my other three I was having contractions and losing my mucous plug and all that good stuff for at least a week before actually going into labor. So far, NOTHING is happening here.
The baby is very, very low but I am thinking it must not be in very good position, so I am going to take some homeopathic pulsatilla tonight and see if that helps.

I had it for 11 days.. My contractions were from 5-8-10 min apart.. It was pure hell, and I'll tell you especially the last 5 days were "active" labor like contractions..

I couldn't go out, walk, I had to seriously breathe thru them. I found squatting and trying to relax thru them, helped a little.. Hot showers helped in the beginning too..

So sorry mama's..

i started withg contractions at 1am this morning(uk time its now 14.38) and they were every 15 mins for an hour then every 10 then every 5 bang on till around 4 am and i went back tobed cos i was cold i just lay in bed reading, relsaxing, timing. every 5 mins till 5.30 then boom back to ten, by 6am it was back to 15 and then just kept messing around.

Yeah mine started about 3 days ago and they haven't really stopped since : . 15 minutes, 5 minutes, 30 minutes....then 5,7, 10, then 30 : it's everywhere.

I didn't have this with my last pg, I had hardly any contractions then just labor one day.

This SUCKS big time for lack of a better term, I am so exhausted form them and then trying to chase after my little ones and do all the other mommy things I do. It's reeeally getting to me.

I am pulling out the natural labor induction techniques at 40 weeks even, if this keeps up...I can't function like this!

(((hugs))) to all the other mamas who are going through it too...

So sorry for everyone ekse in the "prodromal club"--I had it for two weeks and thought I might lose my mind.

If it lasts, try-try-TRY to eat and rest as well as you can; I had a great, speedy delivery, but then had heavy blood loss, crashing blood pressure, nausea, and seismic afterpains, mostly as a result of fatigue, dehydration, and two weeks of minimal eating. I know it's hard, but take the best care of yourself that you can, and really lean on your support network.

Sending vibes for a speedy resolution and fabulous birth for all of you!

i've had a couple days of it too and it gets me super excited...and then i get let down. doesn't she know it's time to come out already?

I've been up since 3 am with contractions. They were every 6 mins until I got up at 5:30 ish. Then spaced out. Drank a cup of double RRL tea. Nuthin.
It's 12:30 and I'mstill having contractions, but the back pain is gone and the low belly pain has eased up.
No show
No plug.
Haven't progressed more than a fingertip + in the past 2 weeks.

I'm SOOOO tired and cranky and ripped into DD this morning.

I'm sick of it too. Last night I was having them every ten minutes, having to breathe through them, stop talking, change positions to deal with them...then they stopped. I've had prelabor ctx off and on for 3 weeks now. Very frustrating!
Definitely frustrating!! I have had about 4 weeks of it now. I got a several day break right around my EDD, but they started back up again with a vengence this past weekend. Yesterday I had them about every 10 minutes for 14 hours! (a couple of those hours were more like every 6).

Oh well, the baby will get here eventually right
