2 week visits?

At what point in pregnancy typically do mamas start seeing their doc or midwife every two weeks?

I shift to every 2 weeks between 28 and 31 weeks, it's dependent upon the mom and what she feels, too.

That sounds about right. I would think that I might be considered somewhat high risk (history of pre-E and the big 4, 2 unexplained secondtrimester losses, VBAC) and they won't start seeing me (military hospital) every two weeks until after my 36 week appointment. Then I get seen at 38 weeks, then weekly thereafter.

I can see this as being a good thing because they have less of a chance of intervening unnecessarily. But I am a very nervous mama and have not had a great prenatal history. I am not sure what to think.

i start 3 weeks at about 32-34 weeks, then 2 weeks at 36. most of my moms don't want lots of visits, so if they are healthy and taking care of themselves, i kind of leave it up to them.
