homebirth book suggestions for children

I tried posting this in the Pregnancy forum but got no suggestions so maybe here is better. I am starting to prepare my 3 year old ds for our planned homebirth. I've got the book "Welcome with Love / Hello Baby" by Jenni Overend. He loves reading this one and I'd love to get some others. Does anyone have other recomendations?

Thanks

Kelly

Hi Kelly,
The book you mentioned (Welcome With Love) is the only book I used to prepare my DD for her brothers book, she was a month over 3 when he was born and did fine. Actually, early in labor she wanted to know why I wasn't making more noise since the mom in the book had done so
So, although I'm not familiar with any other books, I just wanted to say that I the book you have is a great one
Also, this link http://www.attachmentscatalog.com/gifts/bkkhb.html has a list of other homebirth related children's books - I've not seen any of them other than Welcome with Love, but it might be a starting place.

I just picked up a new DVD about children at home birth and it comes with a book. It's called "I watched my brother being born". The book follows the DVD and uses pictures from it.

Have lent it out to a couple of families and they report the children really liked it. Think I got it from waterbirth international.

Thank you for your suggestions. The reason I want to get a variety of books is my ds thinks that how the birth happens in Welcome with Love is exactly the way it will happen for us. He has become pretty set on having a fire and a big family bed in front of it and thinks that everyone is going to be in the same positions. I tell him about what it was like when he was born but he keeps adding in things from the book "No mum, like this". I hope more reading will give some other ways to look at it.

I just borrowed this video from our MW. DS (3 next month) absolutely loves the "baby movie" and asks to see it almost every day. I didn't know there was a book, too.

I have a book called Runa's Birth: The day my sister was born. Both of my boys love it. I got it at a birth conference, but I am sure it is available online.

I am also looking for other books, so I look forward to also hearing what books others have liked.

This one is on the website linked in the pp. What age would you saw this is good for?? I'm looking for something for a toddler. DD will be 22months when the new baby comes so we'll probably start reading it around 20months.

I too have Welcome With Love and my girls really like but I also want a variety of things for them to read/see. I ordered the DVD and book the PP mentioned but haven't received it yet. We're also watching some videos on YouTube of home/water births. They LOVE watching those!

We just got Runa's Birth after reading this thread. We also have Welcome with Love. We really like both of them! I think they are good for the same age range... they have a similar amount of detail and are similar in length. The illustrations in Runa's Birth are not quite as beautiful, but DS likes them just as much, and I like that it depicts the family's life as being cheerful and also a bit untidy, as you would expect with a toddler/preschooler and a baby on the way
