Probiotics for milk allergic infant?

My 7 month old is allergic to eggs and cows milk. I am battling the ongoing excema and trying various homeopathic rememdies. My latest was for my health as well. Since I am breastfeeding I wanted to take acidophilous to replenish my natural intestinal fauna sinceI am no longer eating dairy at all. I can't tell if the reason why my daughters excema wasn't completely goign away was because of that or a possible grass allergy. I let her play in grass and her hands and arms were red that night and can''t seem to get the excema to completely go away after that.

Although I've tried a new salve..bag balm and her face seems better than in a long time and her other excema areas too. I'm just wondering if it is ok for probiotics since I amd reading so many conflicting reports on the internet and have never gone over this with my allergist or pediatrician. And have found neither are up to date on new homepathic remedies.

thanx for any help

You want bifidobacterium for your babe, not acidophilus. See Healing the Gut Tribe sticky in main H&H forum, post #20.

Natren's Bifido Factor or Custom Probiotics blend for infants are dairy free.

Bag Balm has a bunch of scary chemical things in it, no? I would use either evening primrose or castor oil.

Are you taking at least 1000mg of calcium and magnesium if you are dairy free?

I don't know about the probiotics, but if she does have an allergy to grass, wash her with warm water after she's been playing in it and that will help.

Thank you for the help. I did stop the bag balm and went to Albas unpetroleum jelly since I finally found it at a local health food store I just discovered. And I have been takinga doctors prescribed prenatal pill since I found out I was preg. but have been having a hard time finding how much calcium is in it. I need to call up my pharmacy since I can't find it on the internet.

I will wash her hands from now on afterwards, just to cover all my bases.
