Hi. My dd is scheduled for dental surgery under G.A on Thurs. She is 2.5 and still nurses avidly...multiple times a day and during the night a few times...She's never not nursed first thing in the a.m...How did people deal w/ N.PO prior to visit?Does anyone have any tips on what I might say @ actual surgery& importance of not nursing at min. a few hours -4-in advance...Some say just put her in the car seat-when she's asleep..that's not gonna happen-she'll definately wake up-and we have @1.5 hour/s of travel time min.
I have read other posts in this forum re:Ex. w/ G.A & I took comfort in reading people's accounts...
I'm worried that Any Deviation from usual pretty laid back routine will freak her out...so some sort of heads up is probably prudent but I don't want to keep her up the night before worried @ seeing the dentist again.
So any advice would be appreciated..
TIA
