Hot weather

I do not know if you all know but we do not normally get hot hot summers here in Northern Canada but for the last few years they have been boiling! So I put my diapers on the line this morning and they were dry in one hour! WOWZERS!! I was in such shock, this way I can save some money on the electric bill..........

Is it hot where you live? How long does it take for your diapers to dry? What brand of diapers do you have? Just curious to see if it is indeed as hot as I feel it is. I have an overactive imagination..........LOL!

You know, I was just coming to post about this.

I got some fluff today in the mail and I just got done boiling my ubcpf's. I wash at the laundry mat and I won't be going until Wed. so I wanted to dry them before throwing them in the basket to wait. I hung them up outside and I checked them 30 min. later and they were almost dry! They are 4x8x4.

I love the for the dipes but I hate the heat!!! I am 22 weeks pregnant and the heat is just killing me. It makes me :Puke

Fleece covers dry in about 5-10 min here, the trifold soaker about 30 min, snap in contours 30 min. But it's been a searing 104 at 5pm here lately.

then us! I cannot stand the heat either, I am not pregnant but it makes me :Puke also. I hope you can find a cool place Aurora, being pregnant and having to put up with boiling temperatures can be really rough.

ohhhhh you are so lucky. I am FREEZING, my hand is practically numb from holding the mouse while I'm browsing!! I hang my dipes up (it's still blue and sunny) but so cold at the end of a whole day they are still damp Winter is lousy...roll on summer (a non-preggie summer!!)

Just when I think I'm acclimated to the weather in Wa, it gets scorching. And now we're moving back south.....but at least they're will have AC and I can sun diapers all year round...instead of just a couple months! YAY!

I know mom2a&a-- I cannot move it is so hot here. This is the driest summer I remember and it seems hotter than usual. I am to exhausted from the heat to hang my dipes out today- just going to crawl into the basement where its cool.

I've been out of the Midwest so long that 85 degrees is overwhelming. (Nobody laugh- it is sweltering here in the Land of Mildew. In fact, the mildew has died of heatstroke).

It's HOT where I live, in sunny Phx AZ. It depends on humidity, we seem to be finally getting our monsoon season. But normally on a hot day here it takes 1-2 hours for dipes to dry and I'm talking thick ones. The down side is the dry too fast and are very, very stiff and need to be fluffed afterwards. So it's a lot of effort.

Today it's 109 with 25% humidity. Last week was 117 one day and that night the low was 98. Ugh.

But I've been so sick with m/s that I have been throwing them in the dryer instead. I literally get sick just from going outside for a few minutes-- this summer has been tough on me. I only go out to step in dd's wading pool. Spent 2 hours soaking in there this morning with dd playing happily beside me. :-)

we're on the panhandle of florida and when it is not raining my dipes dry pretty quickly. almost too fast. so, i usually hang them in the afternoon, around 3p and bring them in around 5pm that way they are just dry enough, not crunchy yet. then toss them in the drier for 10 min. with the high humidity, lately like 80% or higher, the middle of the day is better than the afternoon. we also had three straight weeks of rain so no line drying or sunning ......... we have bf stains out the wazoo, yuck!!!

UGH! It is horribly hot here, about 99 degrees. And, I am up north as well. My diapers dry so fast outside. In the son, they are dry in 30 minutes or so.

Its been an unseasonably cold and rainy summer. Plus we get very little sun and its often quite humid here. I don't tend to line dry often because it takes so long for the diapers to dry.

Gosh, reading this thread makes me very thankful for where I live (MN). Yes, it gets hot and humid here, but I think the highest so far has been only around 90. Nice and cool now, with a nice breeze coming through the front windows. It ain't life on Lake Superior (which I miss very much), but it's pretty darn nice.

Hung diapers at 11:30 am, they were still damp at 4 when I brought them in. I don't think it got over 75 or so today.

I've left my diapers out to dry in the hot NC sun for 3 hours and they were still a little damp. I think it's the humidity that's keeping them from getting all the way dry. However it didn't take long for them to get dry in the dryer though and they still had the yummy outdoor smell.
