So my 7+ month old seems to have a fairly strong allergy to milk. He screamed for many weeks and had an all over rash for a while before I figured it out. As soon as I stopped dairy, he cleared up and cheered up. I challenged it a few times throughout the months (mostly unintentionally) and he still reacts.
So fast forward to now and he wants solids. He gets mad at us when he doesn't get anything at the table. We've held him off with spoons, cup of water and other "big people things" but now he really just wants the food.
He stole a piece of my nectarine yesterday - not my ideal first food but not the worst either. He loved it and gummed it for a while (but barely got anything off of it). Then had a really restless night (which I attributed to his fall of the bed yesterday...). Today at lunch, I gave him another piece of nectarine and shortly after lunch he had a rash on his face, mostly on his cheeks and chin - where the fruit would have touched him.
Does this sound like a reaction? I've never been particularly careful with my others but this guy seems more sensitive. Should I stop introducing solids? Any thoughts?
