There's a link to a wetbag tutorial in the sticky Let me get the link for you

ETA: here you go: http://www.amitymama.com/vb/sew-alon...d-wet-bag.html

This tutorial uses PUL, because it is water*proof*. You could try waterproof nylon. If you make it out of fleece, it will wick, but fleece makes a good pail-liner-bag material.

I love that tut!! I made several like that. Some for the diaper bag, one for the travel potty, one for the pool. Love, love it!!

I just made one from that tut and it didn't come out exactly like the picture and I had trouble with the zipper. I'll try to post pics tomorrow if I get the chance.

I haven't really done zippers before and I couldn't figure out my zipperfoot. I think part of my problem was that I used a too small of a zipper length, therefore I had to fight sewing at the top and bottom of the zipper. I ended up not using the zipper foot and using just the regular foot.

Also, I didn't know how much fabric to turn over for the "lip" that covered the zipper, so mine doesn't really cover all that much and the zipper is at the top of the bag, not the front like the pic.

I wish there was more specifics in the tut as I am a beginner and found the directions a bit tricky. Then I realized that I was pairing the wrong direction line with the wrong pic, then it went a little easier, but I still had difficulty with it. Hopefully others won't have the same problems I had.

Here's a pic of my wet bag and a close up of the zipper that wasn't quite right.

I used that tut, too, and had trouble with the lip for the zipper. I did it wrong, but it still came out with a lip over the zipper. I need to make another, but I hated it, lol. I didn't take long and was super easy, but the zipper thing stressed me out, haha.

Anyone have any tips for making a large wet bag? Dh and I will be driving to TX (30hr drive!) with ds and I need a lard wetbag for dipes for the trip, and for dirty dipe storage while there. Am I suppose to face the shinny side in or out? TIA
