I miscarried this morning, so I won't be participating.

If you still want to participate you can and keep the beaded jewelery as a memory to your May Angel. If it would be too hard for you then I understand and won't pester you about it. Just don't feel like you have to leave because of the miscarrage you are still a May Mama DDC gal.

I am totally excited to participate in this but I would really like to wait until the end of the 1st trimester. I feel like the first 12 weeks are a tenuous time and in my neurotic mind I feel a bit like I'm tempting fate. Anyone else?

I think that waiting until everyone's in the second trimester would be tough since some of us won't be there for a long time.

Hrm, theoretically none of us are any more then 30 days ahead of or behind one another. The people farthest along would be 9 weeks and 4 days today and earliest would be 5 weeks and 2 days today. That means that by November 18th the earliest person would be 12 weeks and the latest would be 16 weeks. Depends of course if you consider 12 weeks or 13.3 weeks the end of the 1st trimester.

In my limited experience this is a tradition that is carried out towards the end of pregnancy - Is that other people's experience?

Just curious, not trying to be a wet blanket.

I will extend the dates if the group wants to but so far it seems like you are the only one right now. If anybody else wants to extend the join dates please chime in so I can get an idea of what the group wants.

I see Supakitty's point, but I don't have a preference myself. I'm due in early May, so am almost 10 weeks myself, and feeling close to being out of the woods . Whatever the group decides is fine with me. I bought beads today, but have plenty of extra (they came on strands of 15, so I had to get 60).

Aw, I just had a thought that's how big our babies are right now!

It's fine with me to extend the dates. I'm a bit superstitious myself, but I'll just put it away for a while
It might also give MamaVolpe a bit more time to do this for us!! How very nice of you to organize and then send them all back - you are wonderfully generous. Take all the time you need. We might have a deadline, but you supermama, do not!
