In the spirit of trying to keep our spirits up, let's post pics of things we've made for our babies! I'll go take some pictures of diaper covers, etc. in a minute and I'll be back to post (spurt of energy...catch it while it's here ).

I started a crib mobile...made out of wood and seashells, but tucked it away and haven't finished it yet. I'll post pictures once it's done!

How do we post pictures?

I made a baby sling following the Maya Slinginstructions on their website

It was the first thing I've ever sewn... I currently have some new material in the wash so I can try again :

I learned: wash the material before affixing two giGANtic metal rings, check out how the finished product is supposed to work (i.e. watch the video don't just look at the pictures of the sling) because I realized after it was done that my seams were on the "wrong" side when the sling is threaded.

The good thing about baby being on it's own schedule is that I still have time to finish the new sling!!!

I have made a couple of dipes for a friend. For myself I made chux pads, mama cloth, a few baby wipes, some cd soakers
So now tell me, how do I post pictures??

To post pictures I load them directly from my computer to photobucket.com. You can set up an account there for free. Then you copy the image link here and people can click on them to view them. It's pretty user friendly...even for computer morons like me. HTH!

awwww!!! Dawn your stuff is BEAUTIFUL!

I feel so ashamed...I hand paint kids clothing for a WAHM business and painted NOTHING for my beautiful baby girlie! (ive been so busy getting things ready...I have not had time too...)

I have t shirts to do to match longies...maybe I'll do that tomorrow to help keep my mind off things like.....LABOR

I wish I had stuck w/knitting, those longies/hats are so very cute. I really loved all of the painted stuff, too... and Holy Crow Daisie125! That's quite the stash you stitched together! I'm so jealous!

Am I the only one who loses their creativity during pg? It happened w/dd, too. I think I use it all up on baby.

and beemama...I lost my creativity for about 30 weeks of pregnancy. I really just wanted to clean out everything in my house for that period of time (and I still do...my husband thinks if this pregnancy goes on too much longer we might have an empty house ). But once everything was pretty clear I started doing decorating projects around the house (i.e. painting bathroom cupboards, changing decor in rooms) and then when I got too tired to move I started knitting. I find it very therapeutic, so I'm glad the desire came back. Just the other night I sewed up some birth cloths too. I find that relaxing as well.

My dd helped me pick out some pretty blue minkee fabric, and some fishy and matching seaweed fabric too.

We made a car seat cover and hood from the minkee.

Plus a big blanket with minkee on one side and blue satin on the other, it is soooo soft!

Then of course I just had to make a tiny minkee Softbums AI2 diaper too

We also made a fishy diaper bag that is nice and big with TONS of big pockets.

The other day I also made a matching wetbag, wipes bag and changing pad to match the diaper bag...soooo cute! I'll try to post pics of those later.
