What were a few signs you had a few days before labor???

I wish I could tell you something that would help but I had no signs.....nada....lost my plug weeks before.....and then whamo...sat down to go pee and couldn't stand up...baby came 3ish hours later...

I will send you some quick labor vibes though and blessings for a smooth one!!!!

Every mama I've talked to said there were no signs..it just hit them!

I'm goin' waiting tho....so bored & ready I can barely stand myself.

i was cranky as all get out, hungry hungry hungry, the babe was moving a lot and then very quiet for the day of, and of course... lots and lots of cm. there wasn't any bloody show. oh, the ctx for three days kinda gave me a hint.

good luck, and though i know everyone is different, i hope you have some signs and your little one is in your arms soon.

I got woken up to contractions during the night which hadn't happened before. I knew something was going on. The contractions changed somehow and I had prelabor diarrhea. I also just suddenly had a sense of urgency to get everything done on my list. I never saw much of my mucus plug except a tiny bit during labor.

The first one was having a dream three days before the birth. In the dream I was told three times that the baby would be born in three days.

The next sign was my water kinda breaking two nights before.

I had prodomonal labor for about 2 weeks and started losing bits of mucous plug about a week before she was born. I had her about 24 hours after my bloody show and I was VERY grouchy the week before she was born.

DS1 - night before, I had diarrhea. Cont started 10am next morning (born 23.5hrs later)

DS2 - 11 days of prodromal labor. Active labor started after dinner. Contractions were 5 min apart, and more intense, they came without warning. No diarrhea. Plug intact until water broke during transition.

With DS I had my membranes sweeped and lost my plug over a period of a few days. During that time I had loose stools. I knew it was coming. Then one day I was having more BH than usual and did some walking. I just felt like that was the day. Well, that night at midnight, prelabor ctx started, but I didn't go into active labor until about noon the next day.

This time I've had lots of BH throughout the PG but also some prelabor ctx off and on. Yesterday I had diarrhea in the morning, then was bitchy and obsessed with cleaning all day. I had strong contractions off and on throughout the day. Then I had very strong ones every ten minutes for 2 or 3 hours last night, which suddenly stopped...today I lost a bit of plug. It could be soon, could be a few weeks yet...guess we'll see. (Damn prodromal labor -mumbles-)

With Ds1 I lost mucous all day, tons and tons of mucous everytime I peed and wiped. I also leaked my water but didn't figure out until it was all over that that is what had been happening.

I had fewer contractions for about 3 days beforehand, I was very grouchy & reclusive... the nesting hit a deeper level, I had to finish up every loose end... and then the night before was very surreal, everything was more vivid & vibrant.

mine started on friday with tons of contractions ( stop dead in your tracks contractions). that night i lost my plug and started having tons of bloody show. on saturday the baby had dropped even more than before and was torturing my rear end and cervix LOL. lost more plug and had tons more bloody show along with enough contractions to make me rearrange my schedule and notify our child care helpers

that continued until tuesday morning when my water started leaking in the middle of the night and then broke an hour later.

the only other symptom i had was, even though i was losing tons of mucous and had bloody show i was experiencing major vaginal dryness. it HURT to wipe, along with the pressure on my existing Hemrroids, by saturday i KNEW something was going to happen SOON. i expected it BEFORE tuesday, so i was surprised when my water broke tuesday morning.
